Welfare and Pension Support

As part of the Returned & Services League of Australia (New South Wales branch), our Sub-Branch is dedicated to the care, health and wellbeing of returned and ex-members of the Australian Defence Force, Australian Merchant Navy, and their dependants. This is a key part of our mission and core business.

Welfare Team

Our sub-Branch Welfare Team provides a variety of services including (but certainly not limited to) hospital and nursing home visits, funeral tributes, War Widows lunch, and Widows Christmas hampers. Ex-service personnel may be entitled to a variety of assistance and welfare services through the Department of Veterans' Affairs; we can also provide help in accessing these services.

Our welfare team are ready to assist our sub-Branch members and their families, especially in times of need.

They can be contacted via email at: welfare@chrslsubbranch.org.au

Pension Advocacy Team

Our Pension Advocacy team members are all qualified under the DVA sponsored Training and Information Program (TIP) and can advise on entitlements as well as provide valuable assistance with the preparation of claims according to your service history and period of service - across VEA, MRCA and SRCA schemes.

Our Pension Officer Graham Banks can be contacted on his mobile, 0427 201 541 or via email at: pensions@chrslsubbranch.org.au
